A private image tool that never sees your photos
OptiSqueeze (Image Compressor by Qanen) is a free, client-side tool for shrinking JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF images. It exists because most “free” compressors quietly upload your files to someone else’s server. Ours can’t — there is no upload step at all.
How it works
When you drop an image, it is decoded in your browser and re-encoded locally. JPEG and WebP use the browser’s built-in canvas encoder; AVIF and lossless PNG use WebAssembly codecs (libavif and UPNG) that are loaded to your device and cached. Because the whole pipeline runs on your own CPU and memory:
- There are no file-count quotas, no watermarks and no accounts.
- Your images can be processed offline once the page has loaded.
- No analytics are attached to the pixels of your photos.
What you get
- Presets — Balanced (quality 82), Web Ultra (quality 65) and Lossless, plus a manual quality slider and an optional target file size in KB.
- Formats — export to WebP, AVIF, JPEG or PNG depending on what you need.
- Batch queue — add several images and compare before/after with the slider before downloading.
